L’obligation to vaccinate against Covid-19 to enter the american territory will disappear Thursday evening, at the same time as the state of emergency put in place since the start of the pandemic.
At all US airports and at land and sea borders, the vaccination requirement for international travelers will be lifted on May 11, 2023 at midnight, whether they are entering the country for business or for tourism. This also applies to federal employees, who until then had to be vaccinated.
“Since January 2021, deaths from my Covid-19 have decreased by 95% and hospitalizations have decreased by almost 91%”, insists the White House in a press release. The Biden administration pointed out in its announcement in early May that globally, “deaths from Covid-19 are at their lowest level since the start of the pandemic”.
