US launches humanitarian aid to northern Gaza – 2024-03-12 08:31:20

The United States assisted with another flight to the northern Gaza Strip.

USA That Thursday, for the third time this week, it launched humanitarian aid from its planes to the devastated north of Gazaon this occasion packages containing more than 38,000 lots of food, reported the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).

US C-130 aircraft dropped “more than 38,000 food parcels, providing vital humanitarian assistance in northern Gaza, to allow civilians access to critical aid,” the note notes.

“These airdrops are part of a sustained effort and we continue to plan to follow up on air deliveries”CENTCOM indicated after reiterating that this action contributes “to the ongoing efforts of the United States and the governments of partner countries to alleviate human suffering.”

Two days ago, the United States carried out a second airdrop in which it distributed approximately 36,800 batches of food, although three days before it carried out the first in which it dropped another 38,000 batches.

On the other hand, the Jordanian Army indicated in a statement that this Thursday they carried out a total of nine humanitarian aid launches on the Palestinian enclave.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive against Gaza following the Hamas attack on October 7, Jordan has carried out 29 airdrops, 23 of them in cooperation with other countries such as Egypt, United Arab Emirates y France. EFE (I)
