A US labor union has accused Tesla of discouraging workers at its Buffalo, New York, assembly plant from unionizing by barring them from using phones and other devices, a person said. -speak from the group on Thursday.
A representative of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) filed a complaint last Wednesday, claiming that Tesla’s workplace rule prohibiting the use of personal technology, recording and storing or sharing content violates US labor law, according to a person -say Kayla Blado.
Reuters could not immediately obtain a copy of the complaint.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The case will be heard by an administrative judge and their decision can be appealed to an industrial tribunal, made up of five members, and then to a federal appeals court. The first hearing is scheduled for July, said Mr. Blado.
