US justice charges woman for co-development of Trickbot – IT Pro – News

It’s worth thinking. A few months ago we had eight times “man” in an article and there has been no response.

I also find it fascinating that this is a woman. Older women rarely work in IT or crime, let alone IT crime. I’ve read quite a lot about her since @mikeoke. It turns out to be a group with a Russian slant, and a lot of Russian is also spoken in the Baltic States (Latvia). They just searched for members online on job boards, and were very honest about the fact that it’s “not fully” legal:

“The job is not totally legal, but everything is very confidential and is executed via Jabber OTR. Be assured that all the work will be paid for and your activities will be safe. We have been working in this field for five years. […] Either way, it’s up to you. We are waiting for your reply.”

Funny also from the arrest warrant: “[…] participants in a criminal scheme to defraud, and were located in or around Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Suriname.” One country stands out in this list.
