“Evangelical Christians love Israel more than any Jew in this country,” said Trump, a Republican politician who won strong support from white evangelical voters in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

Polls at the time had shown American Jews were far more likely to vote for the Democratic presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
“Israel used to have absolute power over Congress [AS], and today I think the exact opposite,” Trump said.
Trump’s statement was made in an interview with Israeli journalist Barak Ravid. “Jews in the United States don’t like Israel or don’t care about Israel,” he said.
“There are people in this country whose Jews don’t love Israel anymore,” Trump continued NBC News, Saturday (18/12/2021).
Trump made the comments as he considered running again for the White House seat in 2024, and as he continued to spread lies that the 2020 presidential election ballot was illegally rigged against him.
The American Jewish Congress organization condemned Trump for trading “radioactive antisemitic tropes” with his remarks.
