In January, Israel’s army chief Aviv Kohavi announced that he was instructing the military to draw up a new plan for an attack on Iran’s nuclear program. The IDF received billions of shekels of additional funds to prepare for such attacks as part of the recently passed national budget.
Last month, Kohavi told the Knesset (Parliament) Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that the military was accelerating operational planning and readiness to confront Iran and its military nuclear threat.

Reports in recent weeks suggest that the Israeli military is ill-prepared to deal with Iran and is months or further away from an actionable plan.
