US Intelligence Believes Russia Unlikely to Use Nuclear Weapons Despite “Kremlin Attack”

The United States commented on the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons.

After the “Kremlin attack” by unknown drones in Russia, hysterical talk began about delivering nuclear strikes on the territory of Ukraine, but US intelligence believes that the Russian Federation will not yet decide to use nuclear weapons.

This was stated by the Director of National Intelligence of the United States, Avril Haynes, writes Reuters.

“It’s very unlikely, that’s our current assessment,” she said during a hearing before an Armed Services Senate committee.

Haynes did not provide more details on the nuclear threat to Ukraine. Foreign journalists claim that all US officials are convinced that so far there are no signs that Russia is preparing to launch nuclear strikes on Ukrainian territory. However, they note that for now it is not worth losing vigilance.

Recall that the United States does not see signs that Ukraine was involved in the drone strike on the Kremlin.

Ukraine also denied the information that it had anything to do with the explosions in the Kremlin. The attack may be a provocation by the Russian special services.

Also, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, believes that Russian propagandists after the “drone attack” on the Kremlin began to talk about the use of nuclear weapons and strategic bombers. This is primarily aimed at scaring the Ukrainians.

The day before, the Russian human rights organization Gulagu.net began to disperse the IPSO (information and psychological operation) about the likelihood of a nuclear strike on the territory of Ukraine.
