US Inflation Remains Resilient in September, Impact on Stock Markets Minimal

Thursday’s news that US inflation remained resilient in September did not have much of an impact on US stock markets.

The consumer price index rose by 3.7% in the 12 months ending in September, keeping August’s annual growth steady and slightly exceeding economists’ forecasts for a 3.6% increase. On a monthly basis, prices increased by 0.4%, exceeding Refinitiv estimates of 0.3% increase.
