US Human Rights Report Highlights Case of KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli, ICW: Shame!

Jakarta

The United States (US) highlights the case of ethical violations of the Deputy Chair KPK Lili Pintauli Siregar in the Report on the Practice of Human Rights (HAM) in Indonesia. Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) views Lili’s actions as shameful.

“The ethical violation that happened to sister Lili Pintauli Siregar is indeed a very shameful thing,” said ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana, when contacted, Friday (15/4/2022).

Kurnia said all this time KPK known to apply high standards of integrity. However, according to him, since Firli Bahuri’s leadership, many ethical violations have occurred.

“How not, so far the KPK is known as a state institution that applies high standards of integrity, however, since Firli Bahuri took the lead, a series of ethical violations and various controversies have been seen one after another,” he said.

Kurnia then again asked Lili and Firli to resign from their positions. According to him, if this is not done, the public will distrust the KPK even more.

“Therefore, ICW from the beginning has urged Firli and Lili to immediately leave their positions as KPK leaders. Otherwise, the public will distrust the anti-corruption agency even more,” he added.
