Then, the House of Representatives voted 385 to 34 to pass the US$8.1 billion “Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Bill” (Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Bill), which includes US$2 billion in the military funding to Taiwan and other key allies, $1.9 billion to replenish supplies and defense services to Taiwan and regional partners, and $8.1 billion to counter China.
The “Ukraine Security Supplemental Reforms Act” passed 311 to 112 votes.
Finally, the House of Representatives voted 366 to 58 to pass the “Israel Security Supplement Bill” to provide $26.4 billion in aid to Israel.
After the above four bills are approved by the House of Representatives, they will be combined into one amendment and sent to the Senate.
US President Biden issued a statement saying that this legislation will provide vital aid to Israel and Ukraine, provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, Sudan, Haiti and other regions, and strengthen security and stability in the Indo – Pacific.
Biden praised members of Congress across party lines for uniting to “answer the call of history.”
The US Senate will consider this bill on the 23rd. Once approved by the Senate, it will be sent to Biden for his signature.
