US House of Representatives proposes to impeach President Trump on the 11th

Rep. Liu, who drafted the impeachment bill, posted a post on Twitter on the 9th and announced that he would initiate the impeachment bill at the House meeting on the 11th.

Liu added that he and 180 members of the House of Representatives, including David Sicillin (Rhode Island), participated as co-sponsors. If the impeachment bill is proposed this time, President Trump will be the second president to be impeached during his term of office. Earlier, President Trump was impeached in the House of Representatives for the so-called “Ukrainian scandal” in 2019, but he escaped impeachment from the opposition of the Republican Senate.
