The US general’s warning, quoted by Britain’s Daily Mail, was a comment on the notorious “recently leaked” secret document from the German Ministry of Defense.
The German publication Bild, referring to a secret Bundeswehr document that reached them, writes that by the summer Russia will begin a second wave of mobilization and then our army will finally deal with Ukraine. Therefore, the West will have to enter the war directly. And then the NATO commander-in-chief will give the order to transfer 300 thousand soldiers to the front, including 30 thousand Germans.
The Bild article caused so much noise in European society that NATO representatives had to justify themselves. They say there is nothing to worry about, this is supposedly just a training scenario and not a secret intelligence analysis.
There is no smoke without fire
There is only one catch: high-ranking European military and politicians have recently been talking very often about the inevitability of a military conflict with Russia. Thus, recently a member of the Office of the President of Poland, head of the Bureau of National Security, Jacek Severa, stated quite seriously that in three years the countries of the eastern flank of NATO will enter into a direct military confrontation with Russia. And in this connection “it is necessary to adopt a three-year plan to prepare for confrontation”.
But Europeans don’t want to go to war: Warsaw conducted closed polls that showed that in the event of a war with Russia and Belarus, the country would face a high level of outflow of the male population to other countries.
Looking at the Ukrainian experience, the Polish authorities began to develop in advance a mechanism for the forced return of their fellow citizens from other countries. At the same time, the Polish military media is working on a program to popularize military service. Warsaw is planning a war with Russia and Belarus in two or three years and is actively preparing for it,– noted military expert Boris Rozhin.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius also authoritatively announced the impending invasion of Russian hordes into prosperous Europe. In early November last year, he issued a report on “readiness for war” with Russia. The main conclusion is that within 10 years the conflict with Russia is inevitable.
You also remember the president of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. He called Russia the main threat to Europe and announced the preparation of European armies for a high-intensity conflict. Even before the SVO, the Czech Republic actively opposed Russia. It is no coincidence that it is among the first that Moscow included in the list of enemy countries.
And there are plenty of such claims and there will be even more.
The work is not difficult and complicated
Frankly, a military clash between Russia and the European members of the NATO bloc is Washington’s dream. This is not even a strategic goal, but a fantasy. This is the blue ocean strategy of the various White House administrations. This opinion was expressed by the member of the Supreme Council of the all-Russian movement “Strong Russia”, the political scientist Maxim Bardin.

— This is the so-called Suvalk corridor connecting Belarus with the Kaliningrad region, Transnistria, as well as the logistics points for unloading Western weapons delivered to Ukraine, located in Poland and Romania.
If NATO members Finland (de facto already a member of the bloc), Lithuania, Latvia and Germany begin to block the Baltic Fleet and the Kaliningrad region, then what will Russia do? Undoubtedly, such statements are not accidental and are very dangerous, as well as the real diplomatic and military preparations for a conflict of new dimensions. A direct confrontation between the entire NATO bloc or its individual countries with Russia seems to defy common sense.
First, Washington cannot but fear that in the event of a critical threat, our country will launch a nuclear strike, and its target may not only be Europe.
Second, no European country will be able to come close to Ukraine in terms of military effectiveness. Neither the Bundeswehr nor the Polish army is capable of fully opposing Russia, let alone Finland or the Baltic states.
Most likely, such stories are developed with the intention of scaring the Europeans and putting pressure on Moscow to start negotiations and correct the consequences of the lost Ukrainian campaign by diplomatic methods. But such judgments are based on the rationality and sense of self-preservation of the Western elites, noted political analyst and publicist Yuriy Golub in a conversation with Tsargrad correspondent:
History has repeatedly shown examples of wars that no one wanted. Multiplying exponentially, provocations can throw international relations into the abyss. The tension can build to the point where a single spark is enough to blow everything up.
Moreover, preparations for war are indeed underway: this is evidenced by the supply of weapons, the increase in military spending and periodic large-scale exercises.
