US First Lady visits Ukraine on Mother’s Day

The first lady of the United States Jill Biden arrived in Ukraine on Sunday, where he met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Uzhgorod.

Jill Baiden arrived in Ukraine from Slovakia, where he visited the border areas and met with Ukrainian refugees. Her visit to Ukraine was previously kept secret.

Jill Biden met with Ukraine’s first lady in the Transcarpathian city of Uzhgorod near a school housing refugees from other parts of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Olena Zelenska received a hug and flowers from Jill.

“I wanted to come on Mother’s Day. I felt it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war must be stopped, and that this war has been brutal, and that the people of Ukraine support the people of Ukraine,” said the first lady of the United States.

Zelenska thanked Baiden and called her visit a very courageous act.

The first lady in the United States spent about two hours in Ukraine.

Jill Biden visited Romania on Friday and Saturday.
