A US federal judge announced Friday, April 7 to suspend the marketing authorization in the United States of mifepristone (RU 486), one of the two pills used for abortions, which in practice prevents their prescription. The magistrate, however, specified that he gave the federal authorities a week to possibly appeal his decision, a new emblematic illustration of the conservative push against access to abortion in the United States.
