The presence of Greek-American expatriates will be strengthened in Congress in the next two years, following the results of the elections in the USA for the renewal of all 435 seats of the House of Vice-Presidents and 1/3 of those of the Senate.
Republicans won the Senate. Without the counting of votes having been completed, the Republicans exceeded 51 Senators and will be in control.
In the new Congress, the diaspora will be represented by six deputies, compared to five up to now. In the Greek lobby of the USA, there is satisfaction with the specific (somewhat enhanced) result.
