The United States allowed trade with Russia in fertilizers and medicines.
The US Treasury has made a number of exceptions to sanctions against the Russian Federation.
At the US Treasury declaredwhich allow transactions with the Russian side related to fertilizers, food, seeds, medicines and medical equipment.
Transactions allowed on:
- production, manufacture, sale or transportation of agricultural goods, agricultural equipment, medicines, medical products, spare parts and accessories for them, or software updates for medical devices
- prevention, diagnosis or treatment of COVID-19.
- ongoing clinical trials and other medical research.
In addition, the United States withdrew from sanctions the former subsidiary of Gazprom in Germany, Gazprom Germania GmbH, and Alfa-Bank’s subsidiary in Kazakhstan.
Also, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, during a trip to Bali, proposed not to limit the amount of oil sold by Russia if its price is limited.
As UNIAN reported, a new package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation will not include restrictions on Russian gas supplies.
