The US could take “military countermeasures” against Russia if it invades Ukraine again. This was stated by US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield in an interview with Jurnal TV, the press service of the US mission reports.

The journalist noted that the threaten economic consequences RF for the invasion, and asked whether military countermeasures are also taken into account.
“Absolutely. We have indicated that we do not rule out anything in terms of our response,” Thomas-Greenfield replied.
She hopes Russia will respond to US efforts to find a diplomatic solution and de-escalate along Ukraine’s borders, rather than drag everyone into a crisis.
However, if the de-escalation does not happen, and the Russians cross the border of Ukraine or take any aggressive actions against it, US will ‘respond aggressively’, assured Thomas-Greenfield.
