US Defense Minister: No Signs of Russian Nuclear Weapons Threat in Ukraine, China Not Supplying Weapons

The United States sees no signs that the Russian armed forces have decided to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the country, Lloyd Austin, quoted by CNN.

He emphasized that the decision to use weapons of mass destruction is made personally by Russian President Vladimir Putin, but there is nothing today to make us believe that the Russian leader will make such a decision.

On the afternoon of April 8, US Permanent Representative to NATO Julian Smith said that China is not supplying Russia with weapons for use in Ukraine.

On April 5, US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy John Plum said that the country’s authorities are contacting Russia at a high level due to the fact that Moscow disputes Washington’s conclusions on new space weapons.
