The US has condemned a violent attack carried out by a group of pro-Khalistan supporters on the Indian consulate’s premises in San Francisco. Protesters broke open makeshift security barriers installed by the police and installed two Khalistan flags within the consulate. Diplomatic security services have now completed a full investigation into the incident. The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum has also condemned the attack, calling for necessary action to be taken against those involved. The attack has been deemed a punishable crime with those involved being held accountable.
