Xiaomi is pleased to announce that on March 12, EST, the US court ordered to implement Xiaomi’s designation as CCMC. In accordance with the precautionary measure granted, the Court removed, in full and with immediate effect, Executive Order 13959’s restriction on US persons to buy Xiaomi shares and the requirement that US persons dispose of their holdings.
Xiaomi reiterates that it is an independent management corporation, publicly traded and offers consumer electronics for civil and commercial use only.
Xiaomi believes that the decisions to designate it as a Chinese Communist Military Company are arbitrary and capricious, and the judge agrees with it. Xiaomi plans to continue requesting that the court declare the designation illegal and permanently remove the designation.
