The US continues to urge Russia to withdraw its forces concentrated along the border with Ukraine. The United States also welcomes the OSCE’s statement that the contact group for a settlement in eastern Ukraine has agreed to return to a ceasefire in Donbas.

“The United States welcomes yesterday’s announcement by the OSCE regarding the” full resolve “of the Ukrainian government forces and the Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine to fully adhere to the July 22, 2020, ceasefire controls,” the statement said.
The United States believes that the conflict in eastern Ukraine can be resolved only in an “atmosphere of de-escalation” and is ready to support the OSCE and the Normandy Process.
“As the United States has already made it clear, the conflict in eastern Ukraine can only be resolved in an atmosphere of de-escalation, an example of which is the ceasefire announced yesterday.
