US Children’s Book Author Accused of Murdering Husband with Fentanyl

A writer who mourned her husband who suddenly died in the United States and even published a children’s book turned out to be accused of secretly feeding her husband fentanyl to death for nine years, which was later revealed and handed over to trial.

According to CNN and the daily New York Times (NYT) on the 9th (local time), Kouri Richins (33), a mother of three children living in Park City, Utah, has made her face known to the local community as a children’s book writer.

He published ‘Are You With Me?’ in March of this year and appeared on local TV shows.

This book was published a year after her husband suddenly died at home in March of last year.

In this book, Richins comforted the heart of his three sons missing their father who passed away, and promoted that he wanted to tell children’s readers how to deal with the grief of losing loved ones.

In a recent broadcast, he said, “I hope other children find happiness in one way or another,” and “Dad is still here, but in a different way.”

Then, on the 8th, two months after the book was published, a twist appeared when none other than his wife, Richins, was pointed out as a suspect in the murder of her husband.

Investigators charged Richens with murder and other charges, believing that he fed her husband fentanyl, a powerful narcotic pain reliever, for nine years, and injected a lethal dose right before his death.

According to the autopsy results, the fentanyl found in the husband’s body reached five times the lethal dose, and it was revealed that it was injected by mouth.

In the meantime, Richins has pretended to be a wife in shock and sorrow, saying that her husband, who had spent the evening at home, was found cold after a while.

According to Richins’ statement, on March 3 of last year, around 9:00 p.m., he and his husband drank a vodka cocktail, “Moscow Mule,” in their bedroom to celebrate the successful real estate brokerage business.

Then, I was away to put the children to bed. When I returned at 3 am on the 4th, my husband reported it to the authorities directly, saying it was a “cold touch.”

Richins was arrested on the 8th and is due to have a court hearing on the 19th.

Richins is also charged with possession of GHB, a so-called “date rape” drug.
