US bombs Islamic State member in Afghanistan

The United States Army conducted aerial bombardments against an Islamic State target in retaliation for the terrorist attacks perpetrated against US soldiers in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The Central Command reported that an air strike with drones was carried out in the Afghan province of Nangahar against a member of the Islamic State.

The US military believe that this member of the terrorist organization was involved in the suicide bombing attack that left people dead. 13 American and 169 Afghan soldiers.

One of the blasts occurred at an entrance to Kabul International Airport and the other occurred nearby.

Central Command Spokesperson, Navy Captain William Urban, said the attack killed one person and he assured that he did not know if there were civilian victims.

The American attack comes less than 48 hours after the suicide bombing in Kabul and fulfills the promise made by President Joe Biden that they would retaliate against terrorists.

“We will not forget, we will not forgive, we will hunt them down and make them pay”,

Biden said on Aug. 26, hours after the Kabul terror attack occurred.
