The US authorities have decided to abandon the production of the coronavirus vaccine by the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca at the Emergent Biosolutions plant in Baltimore. Now the enterprise will be fully under the control of Johnson & Johnson.

This decision was made after 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID vaccine were spoiled at this plant due to accidentally mixing the components of two different drugs.
The publication explained why this particular company remained at the facilities of Emergent Biosolutions.
Firstly, the J&J vaccine is a one-component vaccine, and secondly, it received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before AstraZeneca.
