People aged 55 and over who are vaccinated against COVID-19 at the infirmary in Ward No.5, Ward No.6 in Ho Chi Minh City, will be invited to have free chest x-rays using portable devices. to help detect symptoms of tuberculosis.
All participants will receive results within 3 days and will be contacted to access appropriate treatment services if needed.
This activity is supported by the End TB Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This project has a budget of USD 2 million and is implemented over three years with the aim of increasing the detection of tuberculosis cases and access to health care in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. .
This tuberculosis screening at the anti-COVID-19 vaccination points is carried out with the support of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Service, the Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, the People’s Committee of the N ° 6 district and agents local health. It is also carried out in Binh Chanh district and planned in three other districts.
