Announcement
The US Central Command announced in a tweet via the “X” platform the arrival of F-15E Strike Eagle attack aircraft, belonging to the 494th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, to the US Central Command area of responsibility.
Central Command explained that this operation falls within the framework of strengthening American positioning and air operations throughout the Middle East.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin previously confirmed that Washington is fully prepared to send more military aid to Israel, indicating that ammunition and air defense capabilities, including equipment and resources, will quickly arrive in the Hebrew state.
Austin said during the visit that led him to Israel, “The Gerald R. Ford Strike Group is now in the region, led by the largest aircraft carrier in the world. We have strengthened the squadrons of American combat aircraft in the Middle East and we stand fully prepared to deploy additional assets if necessary.”
Israel has pledged to crush the Hamas movement that controls the Gaza Strip, where it has been launching the most violent bombing operations in several years in retaliation for the attack carried out by the Hamas movement a week ago on several sites in southern Israel. Israel intensified its raids, hitting Gaza with thousands of bombs, while preparing for a possible ground attack on the Strip.
