The US will approve the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine
The United States will approve the transfer of F-16s from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine as soon as the training of pilots is completed, writes Reuters.
The news agency quotes a US official.
Ukraine has repeatedly asked for modern Western fighter jets to counter Russia’s superiority in the air.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reportedly sent a letter to the governments of Denmark and the Netherlands with assurances that they would approve the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine as soon as pilot training is completed, according to the official.
The F-16 is manufactured by the American company Lockheed Martin.
