According to the US defense department, this indicates a decrease in the Kremlin’s ambitions towards Ukraine. Instead of the typical groups of several hundred soldiers, attacks were sometimes led by army companies numbering from a few dozen to a hundred soldiers. These smaller units are also cutting tasks, the official said.
