According to Israeli media reports, may, as of Sunday (1/8/2021), Tel Aviv officials are currently discussing how and when to respond, with the possibility arising that Iranian ports or military vessels could be targeted.

Israel also plans to share additional intelligence with other countries in the region to “bring condemnation” against Iran. It should be noted, however, that Tel Aviv believes the deaths of two sailors in last Thursday’s attack were accidental.
Mercer Street, a Japanese-owned Liberian-flagged tanker managed by Israel’s Zodiac Maritime was attacked off the coast of Oman.
The attack claimed the lives of a British security guard and a Romanian crew member.

The Israeli government has previously claimed that it has evidence of Iranian involvement in the attack. Tel Aviv has garnered support from the United States and Britain, with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken vowing an appropriate response. According to Blinken, Iran allegedly used a one-way explosive UAV in the attack.
Tehran has denied allegations related to the attack on the Mercer Street ship.
“[Israel] has created insecurity, terror and violence … these accusations of Iranian involvement are condemned by Tehran”, Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Sunday.
