(Reuters) – Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said at a news conference on Wednesday that the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) were supporting Ukraine and participating directly in the war in Ukraine.
The minister said that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the war as they have supplied Ukraine with weapons and have also provided military training on their own territories.
Regarding the attacks on Ukrainian energy installations, which Ukraine and the West have denounced as war crimes, he said: “We shut down energy installations only because[l’Occidente]brought lethal weapons to Ukraine thanks to these installations. “to you and kill the Russians,” he said.
“For this reason, it shouldn’t be said that the United States and NATO are not participating in this war. They are training,” he said.
