(CNN Español) — Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo confirmed that he held a conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, where he stressed that they remain in contact with “all official and political sectors in Venezuela,” as part of his country’s diplomatic effort alongside Brazil and Mexico in the face of the crisis following the controversial elections.
“Always respecting the sovereignty of the neighboring country, non-interference in its internal affairs and respect for human rights, we reiterate our position regarding the role of the OAS (Organization of American States) and we value the interest of the United States in the constructive role played by this group of countries,” Murillo said in a statement on the X network.
