The US Embassy in Beirut published a video of US Ambassador Dorothy Shea from Sidon on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Shea appeared in a gown engraved with Arabic letters. Shea congratulated the Lebanese on the advent of the holy month, saying: “As a new crescent moon greets the blessed month of Ramadan, we extend our best wishes to Muslims throughout Lebanon, the United States, and the world.”
She added, “Ramadan is a time for convergence and for initiatives of kindness and sympathy. This year from beautiful Sidon, the third largest city in Lebanon, we extend our best wishes to all believers and wish you a generous Ramadan.”
