Aguascalientes (Mexico) .- The Mexican Necaxa announced this Monday the hiring of Uruguayan defender Agustín Oliveros, who will play with the team from the Apertura 2021 tournament, which will begin on July 22.
“We make official the arrival of Agustín Oliveros to Los Rayos; welcome ”, wrote Necaxa on his Twitter account.
Considered one of the promises of soccer in his country, the 22-year-old defender has experience as a Uruguayan national team and will arrive at Necaxa to try to contribute his experience in a team that ended in last place in the last Clausura.
One of the Rayados’ weaknesses last season was defense, the penultimate of the championship with 29 goals conceded in 17 games, which strategist Guillermo Vázquez will try to improve with figures like Oliveros, who arrives recovered from an ankle injury.
The signing of Oliveros is the second of a Uruguayan by Necaxa heading to the Clausura, after midfielder Vicente Poggi signed with the team.
