Uruguay will begin receiving more doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine from the second week of April.
As reported by the Secretary of the Presidency through his social networks, the Government agreed with the North American laboratory that weekly shipments of vaccines go from 50,000 to 80,730.
The government agreed with the Pfizer Laboratory to increase the number of doses they send us weekly. As of the 2nd week of April, we will be receiving shipments of 80,730 doses. Good news for Uruguay, especially for our older adults
“Good news for Uruguay, especially for our older adults,” said the leader.
Uruguay began to vaccinate with Pfizer on March 12, and from the second week of April the second dose will be applied to the first inoculated. This increase in shipments will make it possible to continue with the application of the first dose to more people over 80 years of age or to begin with the inoculation for the age group between 71 and 79 years.
