Uruguay records 5,649 cases of covid-19 in the first week of January

Montevideo, January 9 (EFE).- Uruguay recorded 5,649 active cases of covid-19 during the first week of January, according to the weekly report presented this Monday by the Ministry of Public Health.

The document released by the portfolio specifies that between 1 and 7 January 21,389 tests were carried out, of which 5,649 were positive.

According to this, the positivity was 26.4%, lower than the previous week when the studies returned 31.5%.
