One thing is clear: Union is now in 16th place in the relegation zone, just one point ahead of 18th place. Fischer’s team hasn’t scored a league goal for over five hours. The players seem perplexed. Fischer doesn’t think about giving up. But he also knows that relegation would set the Union back years and tear down the successes of previous years. If the negative trend can no longer be reversed, only Fischer could decide to vacate his post.
