An interactive day to raise awareness among citizens about climate change through recreational and educational activities.
On October 24, the Plaza Areizaga-Kalebarren in Zumarraga will be the scene of the Climate Fair, an activity organized within ASTEKLIMA 2024. This initiative invites all citizens to participate in a day dedicated to raising awareness and mobilization around to climate change and its effects.
The CLIMATE FAIRa traveling fair focused on environmental awareness, proposes an interactive tour through several thematic tents where key issues such as sustainable habits at home, mobility, leisure and responsible consumption will be addressed. In addition, initiatives will be presented such as the project LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050which seeks to mitigate and adapt our cities to climate change.
To make the experience more dynamic, each visitor will receive a “passport” that will guide them through the different tents, where they can perform self-diagnostic tests and receive information on how to individually commit to reducing their environmental impact. In this way, it is intended that each person can learn about the small actions that, added together, generate a great collective impact.
The Climate Fair is sponsored by UGGASAthe Urretxu City Council and the Zumarraga City Council, and is promoted by Ihobethe Public Society for Environmental Management of the Basque Government, and the EVEthe Basque Energy Entity.
We invite you to come to the Plaza Areizaga-Kalebarren on October 24, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., to participate in games and activities that will help us learn more about how to face the challenge of climate change. Every small gesture counts!
