Given the large number of people infected by Covid-19, the Governor of the State, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón urged citizens to donate plasma.
This is due to the fact that more and more people are admitted to the intensive care room who use this substance in order to be treated.
According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health in the entity this Sunday, 202 people were intubated.
“I want to call on all the people who have recovered from Covid-19 to donate their plasma and help us save lives. Nuevo León needs you, ”he said.
Plasma is used in hospitals as a treatment for people convalescing from covid-19.
Thanks to this substance, many of the people who contracted the disease have been able to save their lives.
Although at first, the authorities exhorted citizens to contribute to this cause, in recent months, this has been decreasing and fewer and fewer people come to make their donation.
For this reason, the state president pointed out how important it is to contribute to this noble cause.
And it is that, there are more and more publications on social networks of people who take care of a plasma donor for a relative, this as a result of the third wave of infections that plagues the city.
Rodríguez Calderón also took the opportunity to urge citizens to take all kinds of measures if they are going to go out.
“I know that many take advantage of the weekend to relax for a while with the family in natural settings. Remember that you must do it with all the prevention measures of COVID-19 ”.
“Cases are on the rise, as are hospitalizations and deaths, precisely in many people. But, as a team, we can make things not get worse, said the state executive.
