jpnn.com – Adi Husada Cancer Center (AHCC) in the moment of World Cancer Day (World Cancer Day) continues to provide education about symptoms and cancer treatment as early as possible.
In collaboration with the SOS community, AHCC organized an online health talk entitled “Recognizing Symptoms and Treatment of Cervical Cancer Early” online.
In the event, dr. Primandono Perbowo, Sp.OG (K) onk was appointed as a speaker to explain how to recognize cervical cancer and its treatment as early as possible.
“Cervical cancer is currently still the number one cancer in Indonesia. Cervical cancer itself is not a hereditary disease, but a risk for those who are already married,” said the AHCC oncologist specialist.
The mode of transmission of the cervix, Primandono continued, as many as 95 percent of them contracted due to sexual relations. “It can also be transmitted from mother to neonate (fetus) or transmitted through medical devices who are accidentally infected with HPV. However, it is all unlikely. Mostly because of sexual relations,” Primandono explained.
According to Primandono, there are several recognizable symptoms of cervical cancer. Such as bleeding during intercourse or bleeding spontaneously, vaginal discharge smells and does not heal even if treated, pain usually occurs at an advanced stage.
However, it does not mean that you experience bleeding and vaginal discharge automatically caused by cervical cancer. However, a biopsy is needed to find out for sure.
Doctor Primandono added, the most important thing from cancer treatment, especially cervical cancer is early detection. Because the earlier it is found, the greater the cure rate.
