Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 477 patients have been discharged from hospitals after receiving the necessary medical care and full recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus to 109,462 people so far.
The ministry said that 1,189 new cases were tested positive for the virus, as part of the monitoring, investigation and necessary tests conducted by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, noting that 43 new cases died.
WHO recommendations
According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the removal of symptoms for 10 days was an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
As of last Saturday, the number of registered cases in Egypt reached 131,315, of which 109,462 were recovered and 7,352 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, follow up the situation on the new coronavirus, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the Ministry has also allocated a number of means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the new corona virus and infectious diseases, including Hotline “105”, “15335” and “WhatsApp” number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
