Urgent warning from the President’s Health Adviser about the Coronavirus

Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, revealed the stability of the epidemiological situation in Egypt, but he warned against lax precautionary measures in preparation for the second wave, stressing that the state continues to take the necessary measures.

During a phone call with the “Today” program, broadcast on the “dmc” satellite channel, Taj El-Din announced the latest developments in clinical clinical trials in Egypt, indicating that it needs some time to confirm and ensure the quality of the serum for fear of possible side effects, and in the hope of the possibility of forming immunity. And positive results.

He explained that the World Health Organization will provide the final vaccine for people with limited income, here it is intended for countries, not individuals, and will also provide it to countries between limited and middle income at subsidized prices, indicating that the vaccine will be available to the general public and all those in need.

He stressed that no vaccine results have been announced yet, as the Oxford University vaccine and the Chinese, Russian and American vaccines are still being tested, and all of them are not yet capable of offering, and he stated that Egypt is currently manufacturing a vaccine with it.

And he explained the importance of the end of clinical trials to obtain a permit to use the vaccine on patients, which we are waiting for soon.

Regarding the Russian vaccine, he stressed that it must be tested by the World Health Organization first and it is not related to the offering, but only to the request for approval.

Regarding the age group subject to the trials, which is between 18 years and 60 years, he said that they are the group capable of enduring experiments on the condition that they are healthy without chronic diseases to avoid side effects and to keep all citizens under clinical trials.
