There has been a feverish search for two-year-old Danka from Serbia for more than a week. She disappeared in Bansko Polje on March 26th. On Sunday, a video emerged that is said to show the girl in Vienna accompanied by two women. Now the police in Vienna are asking for the photos of the two-year-old and their companions to be published. According to the witness who filmed the video, they were said to be two Romanian women.
“After viewing the image material by relatives of the missing girl, they assume that it is very likely that it could be the girl in question from Serbia,” said the police in Vienna. She requests the public prosecutor’s office to publish the images. “The people themselves or witnesses who know the women and their whereabouts or the whereabouts of the child are urgently requested to contact the police,” it continues.

The police said about the video: “On Saturday, a Serbian citizen living in Vienna reported the following perception to Serbian authorities: The man was in Vienna’s first district at around 8 p.m. when he came across a small child accompanied by two people at the ‘Schottenring’ tram stop adult women became aware. Since he noticed a similarity between the girl and an almost two-year-old child missing in Serbia, he made a video of the three people. He made this available to the authorities for further investigations. The Serbian authorities then contacted the police in Austria, whereby the investigation into suspected child abduction was taken over by the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, investigation area 01/Leib-Leben 02.”
