On Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 421 recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery in accordance with the directives of the World Health Organization, raising the total number of people recovering from the virus to 110,436 cases so far.

An advisor to Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, said that 1359 new cases that were positive were recorded in the laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary monitoring, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts in accordance with the directives of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 61 new people.
Mujahid said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus. Mujahid claimed that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Monday reached 133,900 cases, including 110,436 cases recovered and 7,466 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, closely following the case of the “emerging corona” virus, and taking all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the Ministry has assigned a number of media outlets to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases, including The hotline “105” and “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
