Banking Sector Resolves Issue of Raising Interest Rates of Investment Certificates in Banks to Reach 25% Today, After Many Customers Requested to Raise Interest Rates on Bank Certificates After Central Bank of Egypt raised interest rates by 3% at its last meeting in 2022, and a few days ago it was not There is no final decisive decision on raising interest rates on investment certificates, but all are still expectations , but today there were surprises in the banking sector, to surprise the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Signori customers.
The banking sector is reporting good news regarding the increase in the benefits of investment certificates in banks
Banking expert, Mohamed Badra, explained that the issuance of new savings banks by Egyptian banks attracts capital to be deposited in their accounts, which will inject new Egyptian funds into the banks, and thus an adequate return will be obtained for the customers and protection from inflation risk, and therefore control over price increases, will occur when inflation is controlled.
The banking expert also added that the investment certificates are expected to be offered with a yield of up to 22%, and these bank certificates are expected to be offered for a period of six months with a yield of up to one year, and it is expected also that these bank certificates will be suspended after a short time, and that this will decode many dollars into an Egyptian currency, and this will greatly preserve the value of the Egyptian pound.
It is worth noting that the highest yielding certificates in banks currently have a yield of 17.25%, including the Platinum Certificate in the National Bank of Egypt, the Top Certificate in Banque Misr, as well as the Primo Certificate in Banque du Caire, and these are the best savings ships at the moment.
However, there is a higher yield than the Platinum Certificate, which is the certificate offered by Al-Ahly Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, and is an annual certificate with a yield of 25% if the interest is paid annually, and if AT interest is paid monthly, the yield is 22.5%.
