Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, resolved the widespread debate about school closures due to Egypt entering the second wave of Corona and that schools will help spread the infection.
Zayed emphasized that there is no intention to close schools, not only in Egypt, but in all countries of the world, noting that Children are less likely to be infected with the Coronavirus.
The minister sent a message to parents, saying: “There is no need to fear, you must follow all precautionary measures.”
The Minister of Health identified the groups most and least infected with the Coronavirus, and they are:
– The groups most affected by the Coronavirus are: non-workers, housewives, retirees and the elderly, especially those with chronic diseases, who accounted for 65% of Egypt’s infections.
The groups least infected with the Coronavirus are: drivers, farmers, and workers in open spaces.
– Urban is more infected with Corona virus than the countryside
During the press conference held now, Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, issued an urgent directive to citizens to avoid infection with the Coronavirus while entering the second wave.
The minister said that citizens should follow the preventive measures called by the ministry, wear masks, and reduce their presence in closed places to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
Zayed warned against home visits and called for reducing them as a means of social distancing, preventing mixing, and preserving health, especially for the elderly and those with chronic diseases, from infection with the Coronavirus.
Citizens should not be present in closed places, gatherings and cafes, to avoid contracting the virus, as the problem of winter is not low temperatures, but people gather in closed places for long periods.
