The Sharjah Charity Association has started mobilizing to support the “Bridges of Good” campaign, which will be organized tomorrow, Saturday, in Palm Square in Sharjah, for the benefit of those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. The Sharjah Volunteer Center also announced that it is receiving requests from volunteers wishing to participate in the campaign via the website, to contribute to achieving the campaign’s goals by providing urgent relief packages for women and children affected by the disaster, and providing all requirements for food, medicine and tents for those affected to enhance their ability to overcome the challenges they face. The Sharjah Charity Association called on community members to support the Emirati charity initiative to achieve active participation from all members of society and volunteer teams to prepare aid packages for the relief of those affected by the earthquake in the two countries, within the framework of the solidarity of the UAE and its people with the two brotherly Syrian and Turkish peoples, in various circumstances and crises.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity Association, stated that humanitarian efforts have been mobilized to respond to the relief appeal of Syria and Turkey as part of the “Bridges of Good” campaign to provide thousands of urgent relief packages for those affected by the disaster, to complete the campaign project from various humanitarian agencies and individuals, which translates the values of the Emirates established by the late. His Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. He pointed to the many and proactive positions of the state to support the affected peoples in such crises, reflecting the deepening of the values of giving and support in the UAE society with its citizens and residents on its land. Ibn Khadim said that this is our pledge to support the affected peoples in response to the call of humanity and in accordance with the UAE’s approach, principles and noble values.
