Anker, a manufacturer of power banks and other mobile accessories, known for its excellent reputation and high quality products… made a mess. Its three power banks are a fire hazard.

A notice appeared on Anker’s website announcing an emergency recall of the models Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Anker Power Bank or Anker MagGo Power Bank. According to the company, some lithium-ion batteries are used in these devices they could be a fire hazard due to a manufacturing defect.
The above models may overheat, which may lead to the melting of components, the production of smoke or, in extreme cases, even a fire.
The flaw is reported to affect a small number of devices
As the manufacturer assures, the problems will only affect a short series of devices manufactured between January 3, 2024 and September 17, 2024; the fault only applies to a small part of the power banks from this time.
However, just in case, the manufacturer decided to withdraw it from the market the entire batch of tools, with code specifications A1642, A1647 and A1652. All major classes, even hundreds of zlotys.
Users are requested immediately stop using the power bank and filling out a product recall form to get a replacement. Instead of posting your device, please dispose of your defective device responsibly and do not put it in the normal recycling system or in the trash.
