The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, on its official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, published a post that lists several instructions that must be followed during the home isolation period for those infected with the Coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health stressed, during the post, that care must be taken to ensure that common surfaces (such as door handles, landlines, tables, computers, and bathrooms) are always clean and disinfected to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus infection to others.
On Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 312 recoverers of the Corona virus had been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 119,212 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 961 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures conducted by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 52 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Monday, is 150,753 cases, including 119,212 cases that have been cured, and 8249 deaths.
