Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, during the press conference now held, issued an urgent directive to citizens to avoid infection with the Coronavirus while entering the second wave.

The minister said citizens should follow Preventive calls for by the ministry, wear masks and reduce presence in closed places to maintain social distancing as much as possible.

And Zayed warned of Home visits and called for reducing them, as a means of social distancing, preventing mixing, and preserving health, especially for the elderly and those with chronic diseases from infection with the Coronavirus.

Citizens should not be present in closed places, gatherings and cafes, to avoid infection with the virus The problem of winter is not low temperatures. Rather, people gather in closed places for long periods.

Zayed confirmed that the ministry is ready to confront the second wave of the Coronavirus and that it has taken all precautionary measures and continues to implement them.

The Minister of Health had announced that this press conference comes to announce the latest developments in the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in Egypt, and to clarify the state’s preparations to confront the second wave of the virus, by reviewing the indicators of infection in Egypt compared to countries of the world, in addition to announcing the new treatment protocol for people with Corona virus , To suit the injured and winter nature.

And the Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Saturday, that 133 recoverers of the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 100,239 cases until today.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 208 new cases that proved positive for laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 12 new cases.
