Rutte also accepted the advice to work from home. “One of the most effective measures,” he said. And so there is no question that this will be relaxed. “Let me be clear: the figures give no reason for this. Work from home as much as possible, even after September 1st.”
The events industry cannot count on relaxation in two weeks, said Prime Minister Rutte. “In principle pop concerts and the like can be organized, but then everyone sitting in their own chair and at a distance of 1.5 meters. That’s a drama, I understand that too.” He was also not optimistic about the relaxation of the rules for discotheques and nightclubs, given the figures.
Twenties, thirties and forties
Minister De Jonge stated that there is every reason to avoid a new lockdown, but the figures are also a cause for concern. 50,000 people are now infected, he said. “Anyone who gets infected can get pretty sick.
